Historical complex and Hammam Kordasht
The Kordasht historical complex and hammam is located in the village of the same name in the town of Jolfā and on the banks of the Aras river (eastern Azerbāijān region) and its construction and restoration date back to the Safavid and Qajaro periods.
This complex includes 8 historic buildings: the large hammam, the palace, the small hammam, the Gharib mosque, the court, the ice house, the Abbās Mirzā fortress and the military base.
The Kordasht hammam was built in the center of a large garden and has parts and decorations such as: the vestibule and the eight-sided dressing room, the large dome on eight columns decorated with muqarnas on eight sides, the dome of the sarbineh (frigidarium) decorated with beautiful work in football, the calidarium or khazineh, an environment composed of 4 eight-sided stone columns, two large rectangular basins and a room with a dome covered with bitumen.
