Iranian art

As noted in the history of ancient Iranian art and the art history of Islamic Iran, Iranian art or Persian art (the art of ancient Persia, the art of Islamic Iran) has roots in Iranian Culture and Civilization and in the Iranian tradition. Iranian art develops in the Iranian plateau and takes its form aspiring to religion, Sufism, transcendental art and Iranian spiritual art. The art of weaving the Persian carpet, the Persian Miniature, Persian Ceramics, the art of Persian Calligraphy and crafts Persian are valid examples of Persian visual art.

Beyond souvenirs, Persian crafts, traditional Iranian music, the Iranian cinema , theater and Persian architecture are the most famous examples of Iranian art. Ancient Persian monuments such as Persepolis, Pasargade, Naqsh- and Rostam and Ziqqurat Choqa Zanbil in ancient Iranian cities such as Isfahan, Shiraz, Yazd, Kashan and etc which are inspired by desert and sustainable architecture have worldwide fame and are listed of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The geometric designs in Iranian art and Iranian architecture has a particular position.

Iranian cinema in Iranian art of today Iran has a particular position. Abbas Kiarostami e Asghar Farhadi Iranian director winner of two Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film "The Client" and "The Separation" are two well-known international directors. The female presence in the Iranian Culture, art and Iran d'Oggi has an important position as can be confirmed by the illustrators of the books for children in today's Iran as well as the presence of women in the community of Iranian artists in Italy.
