The Thermal Sources

The South Khorasan region is very rich in both hot and cold natural springs. Below are some of these sites:

Lut Thermal Spring

This spa is located in the Khosf district, a few hours from the city of Birjand. Numerous tourists are attracted to this destination, as well as for the presence of the thermal complex, which offers facilities suitable for every need and the chemical-physical composition of the water particularly beneficial and therapeutic, also for the extraordinary desert landscape, of great visual impact. The desert region has a generally very dry climate: the best time to go is from mid-May to mid-November.

Gazik thermal spring

Source of rural thermal water, located near the small village of Gazik, whose population counts just 334 people. In addition to the spring, many visitors and faithful go to the tomb of Sultan Ibrahim Reza, located near Gazik.

Sarbisheh spring

This spring is located about 70 kilometers from Birjand. The water rises, naturally rich in carbon dioxide and other gases, from considerable depths through basalt rocks which give it a unique flavor and peculiarities. The complex that can be seen today was built in 1992, with all the amenities to welcome visitors.
