Notice of Participation
Comics are a powerful communication tool that have the precious task of involving and motivating the public, guiding the contents based on the desires, abilities and tastes of the spectators, directing them towards desired thoughts and actions and taking deep root in society. The sixth edition of the "Cartoon Festival" aims to promote the culture of books and reading at a national level, through the realization of the missions of public libraries, and to present to the public the point of view of artists at a national and international level in the field of books and reading.

Note 1: The main section of the festival is dedicated to the participation of professionals, while the subsection provides competitions for beginners.
Awards
Letter of recognition, Biennial Statue and Cash Prizes of €1000, €700 and €500 respectively for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Letter of Recognition, Biennial Statue and Cash Prize of 80 Million Rials for 4th to 6th place.
Terms and Conditions
Each participant can present a maximum of five works of art in the aforementioned sectors of interest.
The festival is open to all.
The festival only accepts digital submissions, so entries must be scanned and submitted to the festival website.
Any use of artificial intelligence to create works of art will result in disqualification from the competition.
The works presented must be original and must not have been awarded in any other competition or festival.
All participants whose works meet the minimum requirements for acceptance by the jury in the first step will be given the electronic certificate of participation in the festival, and the winners will also receive a paper copy of the book.
All copyrights and intellectual rights of the presented works are reserved to the Institution of Public Libraries of Iran.
How to Apply
To enter the competition, participants can send their works via email to [email protected]
The works must be sent in electronic format, in JPG format and with a quality of 300 dpi.
The size of the smallest side of the work must not be less than 2000 pixels.
The works can be in black and white or colour.
The technique and method of presentation of the works are free.
