Homage to Italian cinema in Iran

Italian cinema will be in the spotlight at the 36a edition of the Fajr International Film Festival

A retrospective of the Italian film industry that is held 25 April 2018 at the 36a edition of the Fajr International Film Festival.

Seven films produced in 2017 selected for screening at the festival, Tito and the aliens by Paola Randi, Il Demone by Laplace by Giordano Giulivi, the legal time of Ficara and Piccone, A Ciambra by Jonas Carpignano, The order of things by Andrea Segre, Where the Shadows Fall by Valentina Pedicini and The Balance by Vincenza Marra.

On this occasion, the well-known Italian Oscar-winning composer Nicola Piovani, Italian pianist and conductor will lead a concert at the Vahdat Hall in Tehran.

Piovani will be the special guest at the International Fajr Film Festival to be held from April 19th to 27th in Tehran.

The Italian musician will perform songs already composed for a certain number of films.

Furthermore, Franco Nero, star actor of “Django”, directed by Sergio Corbucci will take part in the 36th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival.

 On the occasion of the 36th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival, 120 films from 54 countries around the world were selected from numerous films presented to the festival secretariat.

"Famous world filmmakers including the famous American director, screenwriter and producer, Oliver Stone, Italian composer Nicola Piovani, the famous Italian actor Franco Nero, the Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi will be part of the event.

The 36th edition of the festival in the International Fajr Film will close on April 27th.
