Historic house Yazdan Panah

The historical house Yazdan Panah is located in the city of Qom (region of the same name) and its construction dates back to the year 1277, to the last period of the qajara dynasty and to the beginning of that Pahlavi. In this house, in whose construction all the architectural principles of the qajara era have been totally respected, a very beautiful entrance, corridors one inside the other, external sections and internal, winter rooms with wide and low sash windows and summer with a greater height and a window for air circulation, the Iwan, the vestibules, the portals, the seh dari (room characterized by three large adjoining windows, bedroom), the panj dari (large room characterized by five large adjoining windows, guest lounge), the courtyard and basements.

This magnificent palace has 7 rooms of which 3 panj dari they were used to welcome guests and among these, those to the west are the most important parts of the building which have four circular columns, base and capital worked.

All the rooms communicate with each other through doors so that when there were guests or when religious ceremonies, parties and receptions took place, the rooms were connected to each other. The outer walls of the building are made of straw and mud and were used to cool the house badgirs and water cisterns which were supplied through underground channels, (Qanat) that had been dug linearly.

Currently this palace has been used as a Qom craft museum and a traditional restaurant.
