Church Cantor / Kantur
The Cantor church is located in the city of Qazvin (region of the same name) and its construction dates back to the qajara era, the year 1905.
This small church has a cruciform plan with the altar facing east. The entrance to the building includes the entrance area with a sloping roof and the door.
After entering, there is a hallway above which stands out the tower of the three-storey bell tower about 11 meters high surmounted by a celestial dome.
The room includes a chapel and an altar and on both sides two rectangular areas. The altar is in the form of a semicircle and above it is a dome. The chapel also has a dome and the spaces adjacent to it have a flat cover.
The skylights are present in the chapel and also in the bell tower. Inside the church and in a part outside you can see stucco decorations and in the external facade which is covered with red glazed brick decorative columns, horseshoe-shaped windows and domes with sheet metal cover.
The churchyard is paved with bricks and the sepulchres are visible in the area. The Cāntor church, known as the "bell tower" or Russian church that was built by an insurance and transport company of the Russia, is a part of the set of structures that this society has built as a place of religious worship for its workers.
