Temple of Fire Do Gur Do Pā
The temple of fire Do Gur Do Pā is located on a hill near the village of Shush, a town of Bāsht (Kohgiluyeh region and Buyer Ahmad) and dates back to the Sasanian period.
The remains of this temple consist of two stone columns in a single block 2 meters high and half a meter apart from each other, of limestone and milky white soaring to the sky, are also known as " Do gur do pā ".
Some believe that these columns, relatively similar to those in stone of the mitrei (like the columns of Khurhe), are what remains of a temple of fire or belong to hearths that were used to show the way to the caravan workers; some consider them to be stone sepulchers.
The inhabitants of the village of Shush believe that the particular function of them is to guide the passage of the caravans in the darkness so that they do not lose the route and up to 50 years ago at sunset every evening they in turn on the columns lit a fire so that travelers, caravans and disoriented vehicles found their way to the village.
