Historical complex of the Bazaars of Yazd
The Historical Complex of the Bazaars of Yazd was divided in half by the construction of a road. The oldest part of the Yazd Bazaar dates back to the 15th century and is part of the historical Amir Chakhmaq Complex. Inside the bazaar there are some laboratories used for the processing of some goods, among which we can mention the mincing laboratory (where the natural leaves of henna are ground), the roasting laboratory (where the sesame seeds are ground and transformed into a sweet called halva, similar to the soft nougat) and the dyeing workshop (where the cotton and wool fibers are mixed with natural colors). Each of these laboratories has been designed according to the specific needs of its activities.
