Royal Kitchen Museum

Museum of the royal kitchen

This place at the time of the second Pahlavi was known as "exclusive cuisine"; its surface was equal to 800 square meters and was located in the central section of the garden of Sa'd Ābād, near the river Darband.
The history of the reconstruction and construction of the current building dates back to the era of the second Pahlavi but from the analysis of the building in the basement section we encounter a crypt and pointed arches that from an architectural point of view attest its belonging to the period of the first Pahlavi . This building is on two floors and includes a ground floor and a basement.
The exclusive kitchen was at the service of the white building (Mellat) so the other kitchens in Sa'd Ābād were given the name "comune". The basement at the time of the second Pahlavi was known as "Surveillance of the house" and the ground floor comprised a central hall and six rooms which included: the pantry for groceries, office, a cold room, the closet for the served, the place where the cooks and kitchen staff and the room where they were eating were eating.
