This historic village is located in the Osku district in the canyon of the Kandovan river. It is located at 22 km south of Osku and 62 from Tabriz. The houses were carved into the rock in the seventh century of the Hegira. Kandovan village was built on conical and pyramidal hills high 6 meters. In the heart of these cones more than a hundred livestock shelters, warehouses, residential rooms and two mosque of which each has two stone columns formed by the material of the layers of the volcanic flow. This village also has a useful mineral water for the treatment of kidney diseases.
