Fire tower
The fire tower or Yanghyn tower is located in the city of Tabriz (eastern Azerbaijani region) and was built as the first tower in the country with this function at the end of the qajara era, in the year XEUMX of the solar Hegira.
This beautiful octagonal construction in brick 23 meters high which is still located in the area of one of the city's fire-fighting stations, with eight skylights in different directions, has a circular internal environment and thanks to a flight of spiral stairs connects to the higher.
The "Yanghyn" tower - which in Turkish Azerbaijeans means fire and fire - in the past had a control function and a sentinel above the tower supervised so that, in case of fire, through a large bronze bell installed above the tower, he could warn the firefighters.
This tower also has a large lighthouse at the top which as a "marine lighthouse" reassured the night travelers of their arrival in the city.
