Palazzo Shapuri

The Shapuri dwelling in the city of Shirāz (Fārs region) dates back to the early Pahlavi period, was built between the 1315 and 1310 years of the solar Hegira and belonged to Abdolsāheb Shāpuri, one of the important merchants of Kazerun.

The magnificent Shāpuri palace was designed on two floors in the qajaro architectural style and with a free approach to architecture in a very beautiful and historic garden named Shāpuri with a pentagonal pool in the center and numerous trees giving this garden a beautiful appearance. Persian.

On the western facade of the building you can see circular stucco and majolica columns with the use of motifs from the Achaemenid era on the facade of the'Iwan higher. The presence of 14 symmetrical columns next to each other with unique decorations in a large balcony is among the characteristics demonstrating the fact that this house compared to similar houses in Shirāz was built differently.

Inside this building there are many rooms and each one has a particular function. The innovations used in the garden of the Shāpuri palace have transformed it into a Persian-European garden.

Today this complex is used as a restaurant or coffee shop with the atmosphere of the qajaro period and as a photographic location in the garden and its magnificent palace and also for the conduct of film festivals, organization of exhibitions of artistic works and for ceremonials.
