Sheykh Tabarsi Mausoleum

Sheykh Tabarsi Mausoleum.

Sheykh Tabarsi was a theologian and a Shiite exegete, who lived in the twelfth century AD. Originally from Tabaristan, from which it takes its name, he lived and taught in Mashhad. The sanctuary dedicated to him is located inside the Imam Reza complex, in the north-northern area of the sacred area, along via Tabarsi. Expanded and relocated in 1991, thanks to precise and competent operations, today the sanctuary of Sheykh Tabarsi is built on three floors and culminates with a dome. The walls are decorated with mosaics, perfectly in harmony with the other monuments contained in the sanctuary.
