Strait or Gorge of Zingan

The Zingan Strait is located at 5 km south-east of Sāleh Ābād in the Ilām region at a height of 560 meters above sea level. It is the result of river erosion phenomena; a permanent channel almost 1800 meters long and variable in width between the 0,5 and the 3 meters, with the walls covered by drops of water comes from the upper springs; in the middle of its course the distance between the walls becomes very poor and this takes the form of a cave. The last stretch ends in a waterfall and only through it can you reach the upper space of the strait.
