The Museum of Ecbatana
it is located east of the ancient hill of Ecbatana and close to the famous 'Fossa dei Francesi' in the Province of Hamadan. In this complex there are exhibits of stone, terracotta and ceramic, bones and metal, belonging to the pre-Islamic and Islamic periods. Among the most important works preserved in this museum we can mention: some bases of columns of the Achaemenid palaces, including a fragment bearing a cuneiform inscription from the era of Artaxerxes II, two stone and glass seals from the pre-Islamic period, and a head of ceramic bull of the Achaemenid age.
