Thermal springs of Genow
The thermal springs of Genow rise in a valley in the mountains of the same name, north-east of the city of Bandar Abbas (Hormozgan region).
The water of this natural spring, belonging to the group of very hot sulphurous waters, rich in chlorine and sulphate, is considered calcareous-sulphurous. In winter (in the morning) the water temperature is around 41 degrees centigrade and the water vapor spreads up to a meter in height.
The source of Genow, for its discrete quantity of sodium chloride, boasts beneficial properties for the treatment of dermatological diseases.
The particular combination of thermal waters and their high temperature has meant that only a small group of animals and plants live and grow here. One of the unique peculiarities of the Genow spring is the presence of the fish Avinius Ginius in its waters.
In this place a tourist, recreational and thermal complex has been built with hot water pools reserved for women and men, a jacuzzi, a single tub, a bicycle and buggy track, a path to the interior of a garden, a waterfall, a shopping center, restaurants and traditional taverns.
The area around the source is full of beautiful green palms
