Zaman Khan Bridge

Zaman Khan Bridge

The Zaman Khan bridge is located in the Eyl Beigi village in the province of Sāmān and near the city of Shahre Kord (Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari region). The original construction of the bridge in pre-Islamic architectural style (Sasanian era) dates back to the Safavid period (some believe that once there were the remains of a Sasanian bridge) and has undergone several repairs.

The Zamān Khān bridge, with its rigorous architecture, is considered the oldest bridge over the Zāyande Rud river and was built on three natural stone pylons with materials such as the latter, brick, plaster mortar and cement, has two spans of 8 meters, it is 33 meters long and 12 meters high.
