Atashgah waterfall

Lordegan's Atashgah waterfall

The Atashgah waterfall is located in the village of the same name, near the city of Shahr-e Lordegān (Chahār Mahāl and Bakhtiāri region) in a three km long valley. The path of the valley with a tumultuous river and limestone and chalky rocks, is surrounded by a green environment with species of trees and forest plants and here the strong inclination of the ground and the heights of the valley have formed numerous small and large waterfalls (from seven to ten according to the variation of the water volume in the different seasons).

The Atashgāh waterfall, which is also known as Iran's miniature waterfall, is the longest in the country and one of the water-rich springs of the great Karun river that originates from the snowy and cold hills of the Dena mountains and central Zagros.

To get to the waterfall you need to walk a path along which you can enjoy breathtaking views, the view of the numerous stepped waterfalls and ancient plants.
