The stone lion
to preserve the memory of their warriors and heroes, i Bakhtiyari they placed statues of lions carved in stone on their tombs, on which also figures of horses and swords were drawn. Each of these drawings had its own meaning. The stone lion placed on the tombs of heroes and youths recalled an adventurous life and the glories or decadences of the group to which they belonged. The oldest stone lion in the region dates back to the Safavid period.
