Bas-relief of Shirino

The bas-relief of Shirino is found in the village of Bāzfat, in the town of Kuhrang (region Chahār Mahāl and Bakhtiāri) and is what remains of the period of reign of Elymais or Elamais, first and second century AD in the area of Bakhtiyari.

The bas-relief of Shirino, which is located in the homonymous valley (Shirin Āb), has been carved in stone at a depth of 30 cm and in a rectangular frame the size of 2 meters and 145 cm and in it are three human figures. On the right there is a character or a front face with the look in front of him while he is sitting on a four-sided platform and with his right hand holding a lance vertically.

The other two figures of the bas-relief portrayed frontally and standing are located to the right of the seated figure. The central figure has the right hand raised towards the seated person and the left hand is resting on the chest as a sign of respect.

The other figure whose thick hair can be seen on either side of the face, has both hands on his chest.
