Alvares

The village of Alvāres is located on the slopes of Mount Sabalān, in the town of Sarein (Ardabil region). On-site analyzes and present testimonies show that the choice of location or consolidation of the village took place approximately three centuries ago or more.

The tourist village of Alvāres, with a height of almost 2000 meters above sea level, due to its position on the slopes of Mount Sabalān, enjoys a varied and mild climate. Even the emigration of nomads to these areas, with their houses made from curtains decorated with different styles and colors, has helped make this area even more beautiful.

In addition to these landscapes, numerous springs spring from the heart of the earth. The winters here are very cold and with abundant snowfalls, so a ski slope has formed on the slopes of the village which is covered with snow for almost eight months a year. This, located at 3200 meters above sea level, is considered one of the great ski slopes of Iran
