Khanom Mosque

The Khanom Mosque

belongs to the period of the Qajar and is located in the old district of Fakhim-od-Doule in Zanjan. This mosque is devoid of domes but has two beautiful minarets, it was built in the 1323 of the lunar ecyre for the wishes of one of the most influential women of the era, namely Jamile Khanom daughter of Hoseyn Qoli Khan Nezam-ol-Edale ( Zo-l-Faqari).

The mosque, decorated with majolica and ornamental stuccowork, has a monumental door, two small minarets, a courtyard, a summer room and a winter room for night prayers and numerous rooms.
