The historic Bazaar of Zanjan
it is located in the historical center of the city and is formed by two sectors: one high and the other low. Its construction began during the reign of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar, in the 1205 year of the lunar ego, and was completed in the days of Fath Ali Shah, in the 1213 of the lunar ego.
In the lower part of the bazaar or in its two caravanserai, in addition to the trade of traditional products, merchandise of villages and villages around Zanjan are also on sale. The upper part is composed of a series of other bazaars: Bazar-e Qeysariye, the Bazaar of Fabrics, Bazar-e Hojjat-ol-Eslam, Bazar-e Emamzade and Bazar-e Abd-ol-Ali Bey.
In this merchant complex there are also five mosques: the Chehel Sotun Mosque, the Aqa Seyyed Fathollah Mosque, Masjid-e-Jamé (The Great Mosque), the Mosque of Hojjat-ol-Eslam and the Mosque of Melar. The historic Zanazar Bazaar has 940 stores. Given that the city of Zanjan has a warm and cold winter season, and its springs as autumns are somewhat uncertain, the shape and coverage of the bazaar have been designed in such a way that external climatic variations are not perceived at all. interior of the structure. This bazaar was registered in the official list of monuments of Iran.
