Green valley of the Sarbaz river
The valley and the river Sarbāz are located in the Bāhukalāt area, in the city of Sarbāz (Sistān and Baluchestān region) and the place is known as the habitat of the marsh crocodiles (in the local language "Gandu"). The seasonal river Sarbāz has given life and luxuriance to the surrounding lands, making the area green and fertile.
The local inhabitants love the marsh crocodiles (lett: short-nosed) and for this reason they have never contributed to the extinction of this animal that is the only Iranian crocodile with the name of crocodile Shadab (lit: "happy"), with a weight of at least about 70 kg and a length from 4 to 5 meters.
