Mausoleum of Ibn Yamin Faryumadi
The mausoleum of Ibn Yamin Faryumadi, a well-known Iranian poet (1286-1368) is located in the village of Faryumad in the province of Myāmi (Semnān region).
This mausoleum, which is located near the ancient Jām'eh mosque of the village, was originally a land and adobe construction in disastrous condition but was later restored and rebuilt and is now a remarkable and very beautiful building from the shape hexagonal.
Its beautiful angles are like a flower blossomed and the hexagonal sepulcher inside has the shape of a flower's stamen. The sepulchral stone has six small sides and above there are inscriptions concerning this great poet.
Around the mausoleum there is a space that is green. During his life, Ibn Yamin composed 15 thousand verses that include qaside (panegiristic odi), ghazal (lyric), tarkib-band (a form of strophic poetry), qet'e (fragments) and robā'i (quatrains) that were collected in his Diwān (Canzoniere).
Because of its historical antiquity and natural features, the village of Faryumad has many tourist attractions such as: the Jāme'h Mosque, the mausoleum and the earth dam of the Sheikh Hassan Javari, the shrine of the Imāmzādeh Seyed Ahmad, the caravanserai Shāh Abbāsi, the hill of the province, the 500 year old plane trees, the ancient mill etc ...
