Torre Resket / Resget

The Resket tower is located in the homonymous village in the city of Sāri (Māzandarān region), dates back to the eleventh century and the deceased is one of the principles of the dynasty Āl Bāvand (651-1349).

This circular tower in high brick 18 meters, has a conical roof and two rows of epigraphs in brick decorated with drawings worked in stucco and on which are written verses of the Koran and historical events in Kufic calligraphy Golzar and Sasanian pahlavi.

Also on the arches of the entrance of this building there are ornamental stucco motifs with a muqarnas. In the year XGEUM of solar Hira a meteorite fell in this area and some researchers consider the tower of Resket a remembrance of this event located near the place of fall of this meteorite. 

The Resket mausoleum tower with a brick platform was built on the side of the mountain, is considered one of the most beautiful historical buildings in the city of Sāri and among the tourist attractions.
