Every year a large number of devout and especially Zoroastrian people residing in Iran and some also from India come to this legendary cave on pilgrimage and to make a vow and to make their requests.

Near this cave there is a spring attributed to Keykhosrow whose water is drunk and taken away by pilgrims as a blessing and for devotion. Some beliefs concerning this cave narrate that Keykhosrow along with his troops passed from the mountain but the enemies around him took him and he asked for help from God and suddenly disappeared from sight. They say that those with him were buried under the red snow that intoxicated them. That place was called Gurzahr but its name was later changed to Gurehzār.
