Nay Band village of Tabas

The village of Nay Band is located near the town of Deyhuk in the district of Tabas (southern Khorāsān region) and its antiquity, attested by the existence of caves and caves in the heart of a mountain on which the village itself was built, dates back to the first centuries of the history of Islam.

The suggestive village of Nay Band, rich in vegetation, located on the slopes of the mountain and adjacent to the Lut desert, has a stepped architecture or the ceiling or roof of each house is the courtyard of the upper one and therefore has become known with the name of Masouleh of the desert.

Most of the houses are on two floors and due to the lack of space in building the oven, the sheepfold, the toilets, the courtyard and the entrance spaces in some houses are shared.

The visit to Nay Band offers several attractions such as: the stepped architecture of the village, the covered alleys, the watchtowers, the remains of a 300-year-old fortress, the sources of hot and cold water, the numerous caves or cavities inside the mountain, the palm groves of the village, the surrounding mountains, the particular species of animals such as the Asian cheetah, the village sanctuary etc.

In Nay Band, similar to a green island in the middle of the desert, the wheat and barley plantations with the beautiful millstones and the citrus stepped gardens have created a truly suggestive scenario.
