Hemmat Abad desert

The Hemmat Ābād desert is located near the village of the same name and the city of Zirkooh (southern Khorāsān region). This area, with an area of ​​over 440000 hectares and with a hot and dry climate, is one of the richest and most active desert ecosystems in Iran from the point of view of its variety of vegetation and variety of flora and fauna.

This desert offers various recreational activities such as: seeing groups of local and wild camels and riding them, hiking in the desert, skiing on the sand dunes, learning about traditional customs, sleeping in the typical nomad tents, tasting local food, visiting historical sites etc. .
