Located just over ten kilometers east of the regional capital Bojnurd, in the rural Baba Aman district, the park of the same name is considered one of the natural wonders of northern Iran.
The main attractions within the park are the numerous natural springs, from which the water collects in waterfalls and artificial pools, creating suggestive water games. The main spring, also called Baba Aman, is fed by four minor springs, located in different points of the park. The beneficial properties of Baba Aman water, with its high content of sodium sulphate and calcium sulphate, must have been known for a long time: Baba Aman park, in fact, is one of the oldest in the whole country.
Furthermore, with its 400 thousand trees, the park hosts an extraordinary variety of flora and fauna: acacias, sycamores, hawthorns, wild raspberry bushes are the natural habitat of animals such as deer, rams, sheep ...
Baba Aman, in addition to offering a naturalistic experience, gives the visitor the opportunity to enjoy comfort and relaxation, with restaurants, hotels and recreational facilities for children located near the park, but also to get to know local handicrafts. Finally, for fishing enthusiasts it is worth mentioning the area of the branch of the Atrak river, where there are numerous points equipped for this hobby.
