Konegarm cave

The Konegarm Cave

Konegarm Cave is located 50km northwest of Bojnurd on the slopes of Mount Aladagh. The cave extends in length for 250 meters and in depth for about 70. In the Turkish language, konegarm means "hot rift".

Inside the cave, visitors will find themselves in front of a complex panorama of stalactites and stalagmites, some of which are so impressive that they look like supporting columns, caves and tunnels formed millions and millions of years ago! One of the most suggestive views is a gallery, about 15 meters high from which cascades of frozen water hang.

Warning: the excursion to the Kone Garm cave is certainly very picturesque and fascinating, however it requires suitable equipment and experience.
