Subatan

Subatan is a small town and tourist area near the city of Talesh and Lake Ne'or (Gilan region). In and around Subatan there are many cemeteries dating back a thousand years ago which demonstrate the history and ancient civilization of this area.

This village, located at an altitude between 1900 and 2500 meters above sea level, has sources of very fresh water and a mild climate, as well as green pastures. The wooden houses, cattle, horses and tents of the nomads are among the attractions of this area.

Among the many places to see in Subatan and its surroundings, we can mention the Batmam Bolaq source, the Ganjkhaneh natural cave, the racecourse, the Varzan waterfall, the black tents of the nomads, the Alchagh natural and forest park, the lake of Ne'or, the Mahar waterfall, the small traditional bazaar of Subatan, the anthropological museum of nomadic peoples, the village waterfall, the Quri valley, the cemetery seven thousand years ago, the Bide Posht plain etc.
