Sheytan Kuh waterfall

The Sheytan Kuh waterfall is located in the city of Lahijan (Gilan region) and is located on the mountain of the same name (60 meters high) which is covered with lush vegetation. In the past, in front of it there was a lake 200 meters wide and 70 meters long used to irrigate the fields.

Today the lake has changed into an artificial lake with an area of ​​17 hectares and in the middle of it you can see an island and a small building. In the heart of the mountain an artificial waterfall has been created 24 meters high whose water is obtained from this lake.

The waterfall from the mountain flows towards the slopes and at the bottom small ponds have been created for the discharge and the flow of the water. Next to it there is a staircase with over 750 steps through which you can get to the top of the mountain, a pedestrian path and a park known as a green roof.

In this regard, there are numerous popular stories about the name of this place "Sheytan Kuh" that have no connection with superstition or Satanism.
