The Veneration of Saint Thaddeus at the Monastery of San Taddeo
Il Monastery of San Taddeo hosts every year the Armenians for the veneration of Saint Thaddeus, one of the twelve apostles, who suffered martyrdom in 66 AD during the preaching of the Gospels.
The Armenians every year on the occasion of this veneration gather at the Monastery to celebrate the martyrdom of Saint Thaddeus.
The ceremony took place from the 25 to the 27 July in the presence of Armenians from Armenia and residents of Iran.
Monastery of San Taddeo is an ancient one monastero of the Armenian church located in a mountainous area of the western Azarbaijan region, in Iran, south of the city of Maku.
