THE UNPUBLISHED CINEMA OF AMIR NADERI

Fondazione Cineteca Italiana hosts Amir Naderi.

The unreleased cinema of Amir Naderi at the Italian Film Archive Foundation. Amir Naderi, director, screenwriter and editor, one of the most influential figures of the New Iranian cinema, Naderi began his career as a photographer and assistant director in 1961. In 2012 he was President of the jury of the Orizzonti section in Venice, while in 2014 the film Monte was shot in Italy, also presented out of competition at the Venice Film Festival, where he was awarded the Jaeger-LeCoultre prize (recognition dedicated to a personality who made a particularly original mark on cinema).
After leaving Iran, he spoke of human obsession with extreme synaesthetic power, from the sprawling labyrinth of the New York trilogy to the hermitage of the origins of the Monte world.

From 18 to 25 June 2019 at the MIC - Interactive Museum of Cinema, Italian Cineteca Foundation proposes The Unpublished Cinema by Amir Naderi, which will meet the public on Sunday 23 June at 20 pm.
