the Cultural Institute of Iran presents its Podcast on Spotify and Castbox

The Podcast of the Institute starts on Spotify and Castbox.

We are pleased to present the birth of the “Taxitalia” podcast, a series of episodes dedicated to Italy and its culture. The idea was born as a sign of the teaching activities of the Persian language at the Cultural Institute of Iran and is aimed at a Persian-speaking audience, with the aim of making known aspects and curiosities of the Italian peninsula that rarely manage to to cross national borders while remaining trapped in the most well-known and consolidated stereotypes.

Through an adventurous journey by taxi, the listener is accompanied to the discovery of an Italy far from the common imagination, the sounds and music describe particular customs and traditions, also telling about places that help the public to enter more realistically in contact with this country. The title of the first episode is ایتالیایی که نمی شناسیم - The Italy we don't know. In this first experiment the boys, driving their taxi, leave Rome, move to the largest Italian island, Sicily, to then reach the engaging Genoa and conclude their journey in Naples.

The podcast was recorded completely in Persian by the students of the advanced level of the Persian language course held by the Cultural Institute of Iran in Rome. The online courses offered by the Institute have reached their sixth edition and today count 6 levels for a total of more than one hundred students. The creation of the “Taxitalia” podcast is the result of the enthusiasm for learning this language and the curiosity that the participants show in wanting to build ever more direct contact with Iran and its people.

The first episode of the Institute's Podcast is available from today on SpotifyCastbox
