Conversations on Iran; The Literary Affinities between Iran and Italy.

The Cultural Institute of Iran in collaboration with DIRECT (the blog entirely dedicated to Iran, its history, its immense culture and its people) organizes the second webinar dedicated to Persian poetry and literature and the literary affinities between Iran and Italy.

Every year on September 17th on the occasion of the disappearance of the contemporary Iranian poet  Shahryar in Iran the National Day of Poetry and Literature is celebrated.

The Literary Affinities between Iran and Italy

The initiative is part of a cycle of video-conferences organized by Antonello Sacchetti Journalist, writer, expert on Iran entitled Conversations on Iran.

The host of this edition Prof. Mohammad Hossein Kiai is a professor of Italian literature at the University of Tehran, he has translated various books from Italian to Persian and has published several articles concerning comparative studies.
Among his works we can mention The Rhetorical Characteristics of the Aeneid and Their Antecedences in the Latin Literature published together with prof. Iman M. Basiri
