“Khosrow and Shirin”: Last Stop in Bologna of the Persian Theatre Tour

Khosrow and Shirin; The Persian Love Story in Bologna.

The Bologna Auditorium in Piazza Pier Paolo Pasolini 5 will host the last stop of the famous theatre tour “Khosrow and Shirin” on Wednesday 17 April, after the great success achieved in the previous performances in Rome, Catania, Venice, Bergamo and Milan.

This fascinating show brings to the stage one of the most romantic love stories in Persian literature, surpassing in intensity the works of the great Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi. The tour, which saw the collaboration of Italian universities and the International Association of Mediterranean and Eastern Studies (ISMEO), was a great success thanks also to the preparatory workshop curated by Prof. Daniela Meneghini.

Program of the day:

  • Laboratory: from 13: 30 to 16: 30
  • Show: start at 17:30 pm

The workshop, led by Prof. Meneghini, professor of Persian language and literature at the University of Venice and translator of the work, will offer spectators a unique vision of love according to Persian culture and the poetic thought of the Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi. Actor Giovanni Calcagno will be joined by musicians Piero Grassini and Tito Rinesi, creating a theatrical experience that combines acting and live music.

Don't miss this last chance to immerse yourself in the magic of one of the most famous love stories of Persian tradition, in an event that represents an important cultural bridge between East and West.
