The Iranian capital will host the International Art for Peace Festival

The organizers have announced that the Mellat Cineplex in Tehran will host the sixth edition of the “Arte per la Pece” Festival, from 14 to 28 September.

The director of the festival, Fereidun Farbud at a press conference at the Cineplex, said:

“The festival was organized to bring hope, peace and happiness into people's daily lives; beyond all the problems that these feelings may not come true. "

"Like previous editions, the festival is about world peace and environmental issues," he later added.

The Art for Peace Festival will present a variety of works by Iranian and international artists with various types of artistic demonstrations, such as painting, photography, sculpture, video, cinema and theater to promote the culture of peace and a world without violence.

About 300 works of art have been selected to be exhibited during the festival.

A selection of 41 films produced in 2017 and 2018, including 20 debut films, will be screened during the event

In addition, 17 plays will be staged at the Baran Theater.
