Summary

Iranian art, which has influenced the arts of the whole world from the remotest centuries, is an art of exceptional grandeur and value, as demonstrated by the pride with which museums all over the world display the artifacts belonging to it. In the present work, the historical tale of this sublime art is divided into three eras: the first concerns pre-Islamic art and deals with themes such as architecture, bas-relief, sculpture, textiles, carpets and music. The second period concerns the development of art starting from the affirmation of Islam in Iran and up to the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, with the analysis of the artistic testimonies that were produced during this period. In the third part, the subject of the discussion is the art of the Islamic Republic, with the illustration here of disciplines such as architecture, urban planning, sculpture, traditional arts, cinema and the many artistic expressions related to fabrics .
