Invocation (Arabic: du'a) is a particular form of voluntary prayer in which the believer begs God to help him in difficulty, forgive the sins, spur him to correct his own defects and bring him closer to Him. In the Islamic tradition the invocation is considered as "the weapon of the believer, the pillar of religion and light of heaven and earth".
