Theatrical works on impact and changes imposed by Covid-19.
Eight and a half Theater Clips: How the pandemic changed our lives is the title of the new experimental video-theater project produced from the Embassy of Italy in Tehran in collaboration with the Italian theater company Instabili Vaganti, and with the participation of the Iranian director Ali Shams and the well known performer Danial Kheirikhan. This was reported by the Farnesina website. The initiative aims to tell - with eight video-performances that will be broadcast, from August to December, on the social channels of the Italian Embassy in Tehran (Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) - the impact and changes imposed by the pandemic by Covid- 19 on daily habits, interpersonal relationships, emotions and dreams of everyone, through the use of the evocative language of theater made up of words and physicality. The ambassador to Tehran Giuseppe Perrone highlighted how the project, beyond the artistic message and the stimuli for personal and social reflections conveyed by the video-performances, pursues the objective of overcoming the physical and geographical distances erected by the pandemic to continue to to stimulate and strengthen cultural, artistic and expressive contacts and contaminations between Italian and Iranian artists and between the public of the two countries. "The Italian and Iranian artists we have hired will create the episodes that make up the series" - added ambassador Perrone - "working together, albeit at a distance, from the phase of creative conception, to the writing of the subjects, up to the concrete realization and recording of video performances. And this is the great added value of the initiative ”. The first episode of the series will be broadcast on the embassy's social channels on August 5 and presented simultaneously in an official launch event in the residence of the Italian ambassador, in strict compliance with the rules of social distancing.
