After Andrea Stramaccioni, who coached Esteghlal from June to December, there is another Italian coach ready to land in Tehran. This is Gianni De Biasi, very close to becoming Iran's coach. His career can start again, therefore, from the Orient, focusing everything on the World Cup in Qatar which will be held in the winter of 2022.
De Biasi has received a two and a half year agreement proposal: the final closure of the deal is expected today. In the past, in addition to sitting on the benches of Turin, Modena and Udinese, De Biasi also coached Albania leading it to the first historic qualification for a European championship.
