The alliance between the two communities was sanctioned on Friday 11 October in the Sala Mandela of the Municipality of Matera in a meeting attended by: the Mayor of Matera, Raffaello de Ruggieri, the Councilor for Culture, Giampaolo D'Andrea, the Deputy Mayor , Giuseppe Tragni, the Under-Secretary of the Mayor of Moshhad in international affairs, Kashiri, the vice-president of the municipal council, Movahed Zadeh, the director of the Cultural Institute of the Embassy of Iran, Gholi, the journalist Pasquale Doria, and the president of the Abruzzo Avventure association, Antonio Corrado.
