Friday 31 July 2020, is Eid al-Adha, the festival of "sacrifice"
The feast of the Sacrifice recalls the sacrifice that the prophet Abraham made, tested by God who asked him to sacrifice in his only son, Ishmael. Abraham obeyed; to reward him, God replaced his son with a ram to be immolated. With this sacrifice, Muslims demonstrate their submission to God and his will. It is a very special day, marked by prayer and by meeting with relatives and friends, to have a lamb meal together or to give food to the poor.
Due to the spread of the Corona Virus obviously the conduct of this great party will have restrictions all over the world.
The Cultural Institute of Iran in Rome wishes a happy Eid al-Adha to all Muslims praying Almighty God to help us to defeat Corona virus
