Wednesday, July 21, 2021, is Eid al-Adha, the "sacrifice" festival
The feast of the Sacrifice recalls the sacrifice made by the prophet Abraham, tested by God who asked him to sacrifice in his only son, Ishmael. Abraham obeyed; to reward him, God replaced the son with a ram to be sacrificed. With this sacrifice, Muslims demonstrate their submission to God and his will. It is a very special day, marked by prayer and meeting with relatives and friends, to have a meal of lamb together or to give food to the poor.
Due to the spread of the Corona Virus obviously the conduct of this great party will have restrictions all over the world.
The Cultural Institute of Iran in Rome wishes a happy Eid al-Adha to all Muslims by praying to Almighty God to help us to be able to defeat Corona virus
