Cannes 2018, opens the film by Asghar Farhadi

Award-winning Farhadi, the director and actors of the film 'Everybody knows' were present at the opening ceremony of the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes festival usually opens its doors with a French or English film. The last time was in the 2004 that Pedro Almodóvar's film La mala ducación opened the festival.
Farhadi in the opening ceremony expressed his gratification for the jury choice of the festival to nominate his film for the opening of the festival.
In the cast Javier Bardem and Pénelope Cruz present at Cannes there has been much talk about this film. Cruz has elected farhadi saying that he is a very sensitive director who can read the thoughts of his actors and I was happy to have worked with him.
Farhadi, the Iranian director, won two Academy Awards for the film A Separation and The Customer.
The festival closes its works on Saturday 19 May.
