Bugh
The bugh, bogh or bāghi (sort of trumpet) is an instrument of the family of ancient aerophones, it is manufactured in various models, shapes and sizes and some examples of it are still in use. The bugh had various uses and was employed in the ensemble of the instruments of the naghāreh khāneh, of the battlefields, of religious mourning ceremonies and of hammams.
The main role of the bugh was to spread and transmit messages through signals, sounds and acoustic forms. The bugh models were made of copper, bronze or similar alloys, horns, shell, cane, leaf or tree bark. Some types of bugh are called shipur.
