Ayda Panahandeh, Iranian director and screenwriter
Ayda Panahandeh, director and screenwriter, was born in 1979 a Tehran and graduates from the Faculty of Cinema and Theater of the Art University of Tehran (Dāneshgah-e Honar-e Tehran). After having directed, written and produced some short films and documentaries, he made his debut with the film in the 2015 Nahid, which will be screened at Cannes Festival 2015 and that will be worth the prize Prix avenir prometteur in the section Un Certain Regard. Ayda Panahandeh in writing the script of her works, works closely with her husband Arsalan Amiri, a screenwriter in turn.
