Nowruz, the Persian New Year holiday arrives.
Now-Ruz, New Day, is the name of the Persian New Year holiday, which is the oldest holiday in the world.
Nowruz has certainly been celebrated for over 3000 years by all the peoples that were once part of the Persian empire. Iran is the country where Nowruz was born and where the tradition still continues and the most heartfelt holiday by the Persians.
Nowruz coincides with the spring equinox: it is the feast of rebirth, joy, the victory of good over evil, represented by the arrival of spring and the defeat of winter.
This year the exact moment of Nowruz in Italy arrives at exactly 10:01 and 30 seconds on Thursday 20 March 2025 (the precise moment of the equinox).
